Needs a new 3.7V LI ION battery. Costs about $20 for the battery plus $20 to have someone re-install it. Have backup files on hand before doing so, since the PDAwill return back to the basic new look setup.
Will then need to hot syn your files back into the PDA and your good to go! |

Date: 03 Oct 2012, 16:44 GMT | I'm having a problem with my battery. After charging it fully the battery totally goes out after using the Zire 31 for 1.5 hours. This is very frustrating. Please let me know what I can do to prevent this. Thanks. |

Date: 17 Feb 2012, 03:26 GMT | I've had my Zire31 for about 6 years now. At the time I bought it, it was the least expensive PDA that had a color screen. Even today, it is still a great little PDA, and I haven't seen anything newer that I would rather have. Mainly because the rotten cell phone companies now want you to pay a monthly fee for a data plan in order to be able to use a smartphone which is bascially just a PDA/cell phone combo. The battery still holds a charge nicely, and when it starts to fail, there are after market battery replacements available on the web. I'll keep using my Zire31 until it just won't work anymore. It does exactly what I need. |
