Pocket Coordinate Converter is a powerful Pocket PC application performing waypoint management with coordinate and datum conversions

Here are some key features of "Pocket Coordinate Converter":

Waypoint Management:
· Operates on up to 50 waypoints. One can insert, name, save or delete waypoints. Waypoints are automatically loaded from disk when you restart the program.

Coordinate Conversion :
· Converts from geodetic coordinates (latitude - longitude) to UTM grid coordinates and vice versa. Displays these coordinates simultaneously on the same screen.

Datum Conversion :
· Converts between 124 horizontal geodetic datums including WGS84, NAD83, NAD27, ED50, Australian Geodetic 1984, Ordnance Survey of Great_Britain_'36, South American 1969, etc.

Special Note for Map Datums:

· Since earth is not of a perfect mathematical ellipsoidal shape every region of the earth has its own datum on which the maps concerning the region are based. Likewise GPS coordinates are based relative to a global datum called WGS84. GPS coordinates should have to be converted from WGS84 into the local datum used. Otherwise one may end up with hundreds of meters shifts between the GPS output coordinates and the local map values. Only some of the GPS receivers in the market have this datum transformation feature and lots of ones do not.

Unit Conversion :
· Altitude can be chosen to be displayed either in feet or meters.
