Mobile London Street Map consists of a large proportion of the London A-Z street map from streetmap.co.uk.

Installation

* Download Map.jar to any location on your phone.
* Download London.mapth to any location on your phone.
* Run the Map.jar program. Browse to the place where you put London.mapth. You may have to say yes to lots of security permission messages.

Usage

Use the direction keys and number keys to scroll around. 5 zooms in or out. To search for a street press the 'Search' menu item and type in the street name using predictive-text (e.g. to search for 'Foley Street' type 365390787338 (0 for space)). To get back to the map from the street index, clear all the characters and then press clear once more.

Here are some key features of "Mobile London Street Map":

· Smooth scrolling street map of lots of London. This uses images from streetmap.co.uk.
· Zoom in and out.
· You can search for streets. This sometimes does not work but usually it does. Uses data from openstreetmap.org.

Requirements:

· A phone that supports MIDP 2.0, CLDC 1.1, and JSR-75. Nearly all modern phones support this. All S40+ Nokia phones should work.
· A memory card. Lots of phones (e.g. the 6300) come with a small one so you might have one already. Needs 30 MB of free space.
· A USB cable, bluetooth dongle, or memory card reader to transfer the map to the memory card.
