Mobile Terminal Emulator is a useful tool for debugging data communication protocols over RS232 serial ports (including virtual COM ports for Bluetooth Serial Port Profile). For example, you can see the data format received from a Bluetooth GPS device. Data can be displayed in three modes: text, ascii hex code, or hex code with its corresponding character. You can type alphabet keys for characters directly, or type a character's hex code, eg. '4' and '1' for 'A', when Hex Input is enabled. Both received and locally typed data can be captured to a file. You can also send data from any file, or transferring files between two devices.
