Android VLC Remote allows you to control the VideoLAN Client (VLC) from wherever you are using your Android-powered smartphone or tablet. With it, you can control media playback, adjust the volume, access playlists, play DVDs, select subtitles, choose audio tracks, etc. In addition, you can configure the app to automatically pause the player when you receive a phone call.

Please note that in order to use Android VLC Remote, you will need to enable the HTTP interface in VLC. To start the VLC HTTP server from the command line, you can use the following command: vlc --extraintf=http --fullscreen --http-album-art --qt-start-minimized
