PocketShield Proximity Edition has the same core locking engine of PocketShield but narrowed down to operate only with a proximity sensor. No other unlocking mechanisms are available as the proximity itself eliminates the need of any other alternative methods.
It is not a “lock screen” oriented protection, it actually still has a very simple black screen but can be barely noted as it will only work when device is covered or stored inside its case, pocket or bag. As soon as no object is close to the sensor it will automatically unlock.
Since no lock screen is necessary, there are no notification options available, neither lock screen “Design”. Phone options are also limited, and it is assumed that the phone application has its own protecting mechanism, except for hardware keys which PocketShield “Proximity” will continue blocking.
