This app WAS the perfect GPS app and WAS far better than any other GPS app out there until there was an update that changed that. I use MGRS map format on this app and it used to be that you could edit the target grid coordinates and the app would take you right to that point. However now, as soon as you key in the new grid and press ok, the map designator changes and gives an outrageous distance. Another drawback is that you cannot save waypoints. Please fix this stuff.

Packed with navigational features: altitude, lat, long, declination, satellite data and, of course, a working compass in both analog (needle) and digital readout. If that were not enough, it is a level. What would I like? 1) To be able to set an azimuth and follow the "compass." 2) more "Help" explanations about the features.

Great app; what keeps it from being excellent is the way it drains the battery. Even when its not supposed to be running (GPS switched off, back key) it still keeps lurking and consuming a huge current. I hadnt used this for almost a week, yet my battery was draining very fast. Went into settings-About phone - battery and saw that it was still on in the backround, using up power.

If this is fixed in any later version, I'd give it a rating of Excellent.
